Day 3- Blogging To Grow Your MLM

Sharing is caring!

Welcome to Day 3 of How to Start a blog to grow a MLM business 5 Day Course.

Day 3- How to make money blogging and tips for passive income from blogging

I'm pretty sure this is going to be a popular topic. When growing your MLM business, one great way to make money with your MLM business is by promoting it on your blog. But there are also other ways to add to that income by monetizing your blog. I'm going to talk about several of those ways today.

If you are interested in starting your own blog to support the growth of your MLM business, I created a tutorial that will help you start a blog of your own. Right now the pro plan is on sale! For $3.95/mo this is a great deal, especially seeing you get a free web domain (a $16 value) if you purchase at least 12 months of blog hosting. When looking to build your MLM business by blogging, my top tip is to be self-hosted. I know a lot of MLM companies offer cookie cutter compliant “websites” that you can purchase for a monthly fee but you will appear more professional if you create your own. Plus you will be able to monetize your blog in other ways which can help your MLM business grow faster.

MAKING MONEY WITH YOUR MLM

You will be making money with your MLM by making post and/or creating a sales page so that people enroll under you in your MLM. I strongly suggest not trying to take personal orders from people through your website. That will just add extra unnecessary work for you. Your goal is enrollment and education when talking about your MLM business on your blog. I would say that your blog post should be about 20%-40% about your MLM product and the rest should be about your blog's main topic.

The key with your MLM post will be to share and serve, not sale. Share stories about your product and how it has changed your life. Help them fall in love with your MLM's product by education and serving them by helping them solve their pain points. Each post should end with a gentle call to action to enroll under you.

CAN I MAKE MONEY ON MY BLOG FROM SOMETHING OTHER THAN MY MLM BUSINESS?

Yes! This is what is so great about blogging. It allows you to make money from multiple sources. Not just from your MLM company.

You can receive income from-

1) Affiliate marketing that you are providing on your blog. This is where you get paid for when someone buys something or signs up for something using your link. An example of a popular Affiliate marketing group is Amazon. For each of my post, I find products that I use and incorporate affiliate links from Amazon so people can easily click on my link and purchase the product from Amazon.

2) A company can sponsor your blog. Sponsorships have a lots of options. Two popular ones are paid posts or advertisement placement on your blog. Paid post are where you write a post reviewing their product and they pay you. Payment can be in the form of free product or money. You can either reach out to advertisers yourself or you can sign up with one of the many advertising networks. Once you are established as a blog this will be easier to do.

3) Companies can also pay you for display advertisements on your website. This is simple to do because the company will give you a code to insert on your site. Then they pay you directly. The advertisement is usually found inside post, sidebars, below post, under your header image or somewhere else on your blog. You are typically paid by the number of Pageviews you receive. One of the most popular groups is Google Adsense.

4) You can create your own product, advertise them on your blog and profit from the sales of your unique product. Lots of bloggers are making great money off of Ebooks and ECourses they have created relating to their blog.

Action Step 1- Research Amazon and/or other products you could use to monetize your blog. Think of items that would match your blogging niche and the product you are selling with your MLM

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR NEW BLOGGER TO START MAKING MONEY?

It really depends and every blog is different. I know it took me about a month of blogging before I made my first Affiliate sale. Most affiliate groups have a payout threshold requirement you have to meet before you can get your first check. It took me about three months before I hit that threshold. In the beginning those checks were small but as my blog grew in the number of blog post and followers those checks grew in size too. I just started Google Adsense about two months ago and it took me 2 months to hit the payout threshold. But now I can see myself hitting it monthly no problem.

Just remember that we all are new bloggers at some point. Those of us who are now making money blogging were in your same shoes right now. The point is to get started. I personally know bloggers who without MLM business that are making 1K-30K a month on their blogs. Can you imagine the benefits of running your MLM business and blogging together? The pay out benefits have huge potential.

It's my personal belief that those of us who are creating and running an MLM business as part of a blog have one up on all the bloggers who don't. Even if someone doesn't enroll under me to join my MLM business I still benefit from them visiting my blog. There is already a tribe of people who love my MLM company and they love to read and research so finding them and getting them to visit my blog is made easier than if I was just a regular blogger with no MLM connections.

Daily Action Steps-

1) Research Amazon and/or other products you could use to monetize your blog. Think of items that would match your blogging niche and the product you are selling with your MLM

Well, That's it for today. I hope that gives you ideas on how you can have multiple income streams along with your growing MLM business.
